The Team

Who are we - the people behind Tagcrumbs, what are we about and how did we get to know each other?

We're just three for now and have a couple of things in common: we love the internet and try to contribute to this worldwide phenomenon, we love maps and to explore our world this way and to go out and travel, we definitely value mobile technologies and believe in the impact that they might one day have for more than just a few early adopters (think 3bn+ people online via mobiles in a couple of years!), we enjoy living the life of mobile workers, digital nomads or however you call those people working from wherever they get a WiFi signal, and finally we also really like to get excited about stuff and go out and create things.

Cornelius August MannheimCornelius is our product developer and makes sure that you get what you want (and what you need). While he studied business information technology in Mannheim, he helped developing various web applications. He loves North America (he lived in both Canada and the U.S.) and is moving to Galway in Ireland in just a few days for the next 6 months.

Sascha August MannheimSascha is the brain behind all the magic you don't see but is essential to make Tagcrumbs work. He's been with a big company for a couple of years and in different countries but finally decided to venture out - to work with us and for himself. He's a relaxed guy who loves traveling (next up: Scandinavia) and kite surfing.

Cornelius and Sascha met first at a Barcamp in Mannheim. They started exchanging ideas about topics they are both interested in (like entrepreneurship, mobile technologies and well executed web applications) and stayed in touch afterwards.

I met Cornelius at the LIFT Conference in Geneva earlier this year. We were both completely blown away by the experience and shared our thoughts at different times during the event. A couple of drinks with the other students, an absolutely packed tram ride to the conference center on the first morning and a chill-out session where we both tried to come to grips with all the ideas that we took home after a long day are still vividly in my mind.

Benedikt August MannheimMe, that's Benedikt. I'm moving around a lot and have been living in a different country every other year for a while now. At the same time, I try to get the business part of our project right. I love learning languages, traveling and getting to know people from all over the world.

Sasha; if you have the possibility please stop in Linköping on your Scandinavia-trip! I have an extra bed (or actually two) and everything set up for a nice stay
